Tanahashi was fukking stabbed by a crazy ex girlfriend (who was a damn TV personality). I don't see Shibata getting in that much trouble after getting "exposed" as a cheater :manny:

He wanted to get stabbed too, he's hardcore :demonic:

I don't think Tanahashi is being very cryptic. The Omega/Okada match getting he praise it got means NJ main events are going to be expected to get crazier and crazier to keep up and bring more American style elements to the top of the card. It's kind of like the Rock/Austin WM 17 match for NJ.

It's essentially the same critique he had of Shibata's matches all those years back in his autobio. Thing is (hopefully), no one in their right mind will try to follow this shyt and will save anything like it for WrestleKingdoms and WrestleKingdoms only.

Taichi got exposed in a similar way and not only got suspended, but had his pay docked as well. Shibata isn't Taichi, but NJPW just started liking him again not too long ago. You think they won't come down on this?

I don't. Shibata has been in upper midcard limbo for 3 years almost. The fukk are they gonna do to him? It's not like Gedo has any plans on giving him an interesting program anyway, lazy fukker doesn't have those kinds of plans for ANYONE on the roster :heh: shyt, this cheating deal might spark something worth a damn for dude. If they "demote" him (which again, I don't see happening in a meaningful way) then he's gonna end up working with the young lions and that sounds awesome to me, specially with the class that's about to debut.

And if New Japan really punishes him and releases him then he's gonna end up doing shytty MMA/shoot style or getting a big push in another promotion. I honestly see no big deal about this at all.

:patrice: Well, when you put it like that...this damn near could be an opportunity. Could even actually force Gedo to think outside the box and give him something legitimately interesting to do...

Exactly. I see it like this:

-Most likely scenario: Nothing really happens. Dude continues to trade wins and losses in the uppermidcard.
-Less likely scenario: He gets punished and demoted, which should mean him working with young lions and beating the fukk out of them. The kid that was known as disrespectful getting disrespected by the newer generations :ehh:
-Even less likely scenario: Gets fired. Goes to work shytty MMA for a while or gets to work other promotions were he will get pushed and be featured in interesting matches, at the very least.
