The Traps of Unified Korea

Sasaki tried everything he could, but just couldn’t work a compelling control segment here at all. Match built serious momentum during Kono’s first comeback, but the ref bump to second Sasaki control segment lasted way too long. Kono’s finishing run though :wow: Me and my breh were talking about Kono as I was watching this, and he mentined how rare it is for someone like a Jun, AJ, Danielson, or Low Ki to just completely get every aspect of the game within like 3 years. Kono isn’t THAT type of prodigy. He really offers nothing in terms of lay-out. But his in-ring character and offensive work is outstanding. If he keeps the belt through the summer, it means he’s headlining Peter Pan against probably HARASHIMA, which will be the best singles guy he’s been in with since he levelled up (still SUPER green in the Tana match) and I think that could be his first classic. Still eagerly anticipating his first big singles against Dice-K, Yuji, or Ishikawa.

Yup. Sasaki just couldn't make the first half of the match compelling. I did like how they worked after the ref fukkery though, those last 7-10 minutes were dope.

I really hope DDT lets him go freelancer like Ibushi or what Big Japan lets Strong BJ do. He needs to keep working high level guys because the potential is there to become an amazing performer, he already has the fire and offense, once he start learning the other stuff it's a wrap :ohlawd:
