Damn Morishima was just a youngster when I started watching puro 
Shame he never quite caught on, like most of the NOAH hopefuls to be fair, but he's had some really good runs over the years. The Bryan series was superb on every level, from matches to booking (great escalation in each match leading to the wild blow off) maybe one of the highlights of ROH in general. Loved his match too:

Really doesn't seem that long ago that he and Bryan were having their first match at Manhattan Mayhem II in '07. Sad to see him retire, but early retirement is much preferred to a debilitating injury/ailment or worse.
