I wonder if it's because Danielson at that point of his career that he doesn't want the title or any of the championship responsibilities anymore?
He probably doing that shyt Shawn did where he felt he didn’t need the title.

If he was still in WWE i’d agree but him not being AEW champion yet is complete insanity.

Naito's time was 6-5 years ago, having a long run with the belt with the state the company is in right now makes no sense, imo.

But we'll see if Mox is actually a real invader or if it's just a two month run for him to have something important to do at Forbidden Door. I think the younger talent would great benefit by being the first one to step up and challenge him in Japan. Then you can have Naito win it back or someone like Shingo. They can actually have a G-1 that feels more important, with the company trying to find their savior to get the belt back from the gaijin that didn't even show up to the tournament.

Who knows though, if dude loses it in June then this whole thing is moot and the company is right were it's been the past year :dead:

What if TK has been working the sheets and he always planned to release the footage this week? :ohhh:

After all the shyt went down at All In…
  • Perry get suspended, Punk gets fired
  • Then New Japan books a Chicago show
  • Then Perry goes to New Japan
  • Then Perry gets a match at Chicago show
  • Then the footage gets released week of Chicago show
  • Then Perry over as fukk
TK out here playing 4D Chess

Tony indeed worked everyone and this was long term booking at its finest

Makes me wonder if the Chicago show was TK's idea all along and this was the endgame he had planned in mind when they did it. And of course a Chicago sell is an easy sell to New Japan because it's arguably the strongest wrestling market in the country.

Honestly I think that's all dead on. Jack has been doing Bucks and Punk callbacks every match in Japan - and honing the bits that get him heat (he's spat his water into the crowd every match recently) - they gave him the time and space to work on his heeling and then prepared monster heat for him to come home to.

All that is just TK and Jack "turning chickenshyt into chicken salad" but WHAT IF Punk opening the wounds last week was all part of the deal? Man's said he doesn't say anything without wanting a reaction. :lupe: :pachaha:

Punk's interview was like the most conveniently timed it could have ever been.
