Every witch got a familiar
an animal that is their companion and every witch got a mark somewhere on her body where that familiar will feed on.
That's it's only source of food, so this frog is her familiar and she is feeding it.

I tapped out after 9 episodes of the first season.

It's a genuinely good show, but I hated the little apprentice she had (not Tituba, the young chick) and I didn't want to continue the show because they made her a primary antagonist.

If they killed her off like they should've I would have kept watching.
