Toney is that dude too bad he couldn't keep himself really disciplined totally to boxing in between fights and gradually became a HW. I thought he could of really be a great heavyweight if he kept his weight like when he fought Holyfield. But after that fight he would just get bigger and bigger weight wise.

The most G'd up dude to ever lace em up...you can tell he was a savage in them detroit streets before Bill Miller & Jackie PAWGllen got him in the gym...no tellin how many lives they saved. :whoo:

And one of the best "pure" boxers you'll ever see... takes no shortcuts in the ring, no cheap tricks, no holding/excessive clinching/headlocks/headbutts or none of that goofy shyt...just pure fundamental boxing...don't matter if you a Middleweight or 250 lb. Heavyweight "KO artist" he'll stand toe-to-toe in the trenches and bang it out...it's also crazy how fast he picked up the sport and became such a elite level technician...he only had roughly 5-6 years of overall ring experience around the time he systematically broke down and KO'd Nunn and then later in the year went tit-for-tat in a high end chess match with a prime Mike McCallum :wow: Ridiculous natural talent.

my favorite boxer of all time. I don't care about the other stuff and how he had way more upside if he had the discipline.

Dude just wanted to fight, and he was fukking beautiful at it.

:banderas:

Roy was loving this fight on commentary. "He cannot miss with that right hand son!"

He been on that bullshyt...1st pulling a half-assed clubber lang at one of his post fights

Then shortly after being offered a career high payday to face him which he turns down and suddenly retires

.

Then a year later annonces that he's coming out of retirement to face Roy...HBO offers him a slot on a Roy Jones undercard against Calzaghe and the winner faces Roy...and during training for the fight, he becomes suddenly injured forced back into another retirement
