Johnny was that dude. Have you ever had a chance to watch some of his old clips? He delved deep into social issues, asked good political questions and didn't support deceiving others as entertainment. There was a special about him that educated me a lot about the type of host he was.

Can you imagine Leno calling a skeptic to refute a rising star "magician"?

like Randi, Johnny was originally a magician. Houdini was also famous for taking on psychics and fortune tellers. I remember when Penn and Teller first came around, they would show you a trick, and then show you how they did it. there was some famous magician that said "it's not magic, it's just illusion" (I wanna say it was Copperfield, but I'm not sure). I'm sure a big part of it for magicians is just "nah muthafukka, you ain't gonna fool me"
