this is what happens when dudes sign that supermax type extension deal on some "Loyalty" type shyt. Giannis and AD did it the right way. they kept their leverage. now Harden is possibly stuck until 2023. teams have to throw the entire sink to get him and have to mortgage their future while houston has no incentive to trade him just to trade him cause he has 2+ years left.

but that's what I mean about having no leverage. If he had a year left, he could be on some AD shyt, trade me to the Nets or im not re-signing with any team you trade me to. teams will back off and then the Rockets are stuck and have to take the Nets offer cause that's the only 1 on the table. he'll probably get traded to some garbage ass team tired of losing and an owner that's thirsty for a big name
