1.) Why would fox buy kang? Who thought this was a good investment?

2.) Why would marvel sell kang? They really thought he'd bring in money?

They would have to update dude's design. Those thigh high boots and skirt would have to go. Unless they pulled a Ultimate Kang

Hypothetically think of the average Marvel movie, how much does a villain's appearance mean for a movie's bottom line?
That is the highest offer Marvel can offer, otherwise it is not cost effective/doesn't make sense.
Now, how much would you think FOX would charge to an unfriendly competitor for a villain?
Considering all of that how much is an obscure character like Kang the Conquerer worth?

All these considerations we can tell it really isn't even worth it for Marvel or Fox. Just use someone else as a villain.

Kang is far from an obscure character though. Along with Ultron, or any iteration of the Masters of Evil...Kang is a top 3 foe of the Avengers.

To comic fans maybe but we can tell this MCU thing is way bigger than that. The audience generally speaking is not pining for his appearance.

That characters falling under a super heroes umbrella is tricky. Couldnt they do a similar thing wit quicksilver? I guess marvel dont want to deal with the hassle of helping promote a character that fox can just toss in a shytty cameo and ride the wave

Another thing since disney owns the comics cant they just pull an Arkham knight and create new villains and heroes? They big enough to do it so just do a lil new villain threat mini series and put him on screen in avengers 4. They not doing any of the villains besides loki and winter soldier justice anyway

1. It's hard to say what's a good investment. I mean...."Guardians Of The Galaxy" did like $700 mill. The Avengers were always a B to C tier team and they're out grossing X-Men.

2. Marvel was damn near bankrupt back in the day, they were probably offering any and every thing.
