I'm a fan of goddards work so I have no problem with him staying on, I just don't know if Marvel/Disney will be keen on keeping the directors Fox hired over the transition is complete.

It won't happen cause he already dealt with Marvel's shyt but Edgar Wright would be able to keep it moving with no problem. shyt maybe since feige and Marvel have more power and there's no perlmetter to ruin shyt now, they can make it work.

Ant-Man & GOTG are really the only current marvel properties that work with Wright's style or maybe X-Force or Deadpool once they fox deal is done.

That is him. This is like saying you could replace Tarantino on pulp fiction because someone else could probably handle Vincent and Jules.

Ragnarok is a story that only Taki could tell; his personality is all over that. To think these personalities and emotions are interchangeable makes anyone saying that sound just like the Hollywood execs we claim to bemoan because that’s wxacrly how they think

I don't think you are getting what I'm saying. My point is not about finding someone that can be put in the franchise and keep doing what Gunn was doing, but finding someone that's committed to being a comic nerd as Gunn (and others) and keep the franchise strong. Of course that person will have their own voice and take on it, I brought up the Russos and Taika because those are guys Feige trusted in and gave other titles their own vision and it worked, and in the Russo's case it also showed that it ain't impossible to deal with the Guardians either.

Feige was giving him a really big stake in a cosmic expansion of the movies too. Throws all of that into a jam now. Damn man. Love the guardians movies too. Don't know who you bring on to keep the same vibe and energy they have. Them shyts are specifically James Gunn; that's his voice, his style, his tone.

I LOVE this shakeup. It wasn't fun for me just watching Marvel coast off of the hype they've built. That phase 1 excitement was fading fast for me...
