Context is important. You seem to have forgotten that he said all this to answer the question of 'Is it true that black men marry out because of the nature of black women?'. In order words, blaming black women for black male dating choices instead of taking accountability.

And helping a white news corporation paint black women as 'unfeminine' undesirables in the process. He let the white reporter infer that black women were inferior to white women and let it go unchallenged. He even let them reshoot and ask the question numerous times. No excuse.

I don't think he blamed black women, he said that they were more miltant than black men and he himself. He has openly stated that he believes in integration and multiculturalism and was not pro-black, with the pro-black movement of the 1960's he would be at odds with many black men, not to speak of black women.As far as the last part, I don't think he is responsible for how white people view black people (no black person is).
