The only reason Avatar is still #1 is because they keep re-releasing that trash. Endgame beat it's original gross but since they added that Special Edition money, Endgame had to do a re-release themselves to officially beat it. THEN they turned around and re-release Avatar AGAIN during the Pandemic (taking back the #1 spot) and again recently with the remaster.

These old directors were sounding real salty about Marvel running the box office, but now those Marvel movies are taking a dip in quality even for what they are.

If he’s talking comic books then he’s right. In the comics whenever characters start to mature dc/marvel will reboot them to their old status quo. The movies are different ,at least the marvel ones. Tony got married and a kid. Steve literally time traveled back to the past to have an original ass life.
