I hear what you are saying but many folks grew up being fans of star players or the top teams (hence why many folks around my age around here are Cowboys, Steelers, or Packers fans) but I feel its ok to be a fan and that's fine, but there is nothing wrong with being a bandwagon fan, if you want to see good sports/good games, do you, no problems with it, I think people feel since they went through the bad times with a team, they are the only ones who can be fans when(if) they win, I feel the folks who didn't want to sit around and watch a crappy product did the smart thing.

i mean its not like you can't do both though. You can admire the talent of elite level players and watch when they play while still rooting for your team. Like i admire Aaron Rodgers' talent and i try to catch some Packers games, but would I say I'm a Packers fan? nah.

Do i feel any sort of gratification or elation when the Packers win? nah.

Lol @ THAT being what separates the great ones :heh:

It's the competitive drive that doesn't allow them to lose a game and do that.

And exchanging a jersey is actually cool to me, that's got a lot more significance than having a guy write on something for you. That shyt is just corny, autographs are really basically verification of meeting someone.

But now that it's made clear Charles auto was for his mom, that's cool. But taking a picture with another guy on some "OMG it's Peyton Manning, this is totally gonna be my facebook pic" type of shyt is a joke

I don't see the big deal at all...

Victor Cruz and Steve Smith signed and exchanged cleats after the Giants/Panthers game this year....does that mean Steve Smith cares any less?

If you want an autograph or a pic bc you respect a player or in this case, you understand you are meeting a legend, what is the big deal?

Notice how none of the great players ever do this though.

Kobe isn't asking Durant for a photo op

Manning isn't asking Ray Lewis for his signature

That's what separates great players from the clowns.

jamal charles is a great player tho
