Where is this stuff about Jamaicans influencing AA culture? You can make the argument for Hip Hop but nothing else. Blues which is the ancestor/root of almost every music genre in the West was influenced by AA's in the deep South; with no Caribbean influence. I'm not trying to cause any tribal wars but this is the truth.

Early AA culture was primarily upper West African influenced(Sahel), while Jamaican is primarily lower West African(Ghana) and West-Central African... Again you can only really argue hip hop.
