i disagree. i stated when the old fart made the thread that jalen has been skittish in the pocket here and there during the first 3 weeks, but that wasn't jalen's main flaw or the reason he was struggling this season in my opinion. let's remember who hurts was at bama and OU and look at him now, dude wouldn't dare sit in the pocket waiting for plays to develop back then. shyt the 2nd int was on him sitting in the pocket like he had all the time in the world. even watching a breakdown on him this week on the QB school, it's the same problem i've stated since week 1, dude isn't seeing the field fully & not going through his progressions quick enough. i could understand if he was missing tons of open throws due to mechanics or footwork, but he's just been making terrible decisions & at times not seeing receivers damn near wide open all year long.

Yea it was me, I've been in the game day threads since week 1 calling out what I see from him. I think I was on an island the first week or two when most fans wanted to put the blame on Brian Johnson, but I was seeing open receiver after open receiver not being fed accurate balls, or not even being seen. Add that to unnecessary sacks he was taking due to either not seeing the field, slow processing or being too stubborn to make the quick and easy throw (I hate when quarterbacks get bored and get themselves off schedule by wanting to take intermediate/deep shots too often). He has definitely been off compared to what we got used to last season and its less about his accuracy and more about his processing imo. Though that accuracy isn't as sharp as last season either.

I agree with you here. He is not Kevin Kolb status with regards to bailing from clean pockets, though he did have too many instances leaving a clean pocket or at least a clean enough pocket for an elite QB to work with. Everything else you say is right on the money with how I have seen it. Even down to the not wanting him drafted years ago. I thought he was a terrible quarterback at Bama, that had zero chance of becoming a professional. I expected so little from him when he got his first start in place of Wentz, but man's improved in absolutely every area a QB can improve in.. and I realize he should get some grace for having to live up to crazy hype, dealing with illness, losing one of the best OL mid game, losing the security of having the same OC back to back years for the first time in his life.. but nah, this is Philly sports and excuses don't matter.

I don't know if he is getting that McNabb syndrome where he needs to see it before he pulls it at times. Or if he is having too many guys in his ear asking for more targets. Or if he is over confident now, maybe secretly losing confidence (?).. but something clearly isn't hitting the way it should given the abundance of talent from the other 10 offensive players on the field. He should be putting up Madden numbers, not just good enough to get a win numbers. And definitely shouldn't be putting up bottom tier QB numbers in some catagories as he has done thus far.
