Jake Roberts, Bret Hart, Austin: Who would be the best booker today?

Bret, Jake always speak on their ideas ..Austin has always said shyt that makes sense. Who would be the best if they booked Raw/Smackdown from today-WM 37?

Bret wouldnt draw a nickel. Jake would have some creative, innovative stuff but I think Austin understands mainstream taste the best of the 3 and would be the most successful booker.

Jake understands the psychology of the business so I would say him. All three could provide a valuable asset in a promotion. Bret as a road agent and trainer, Jake as a booker, and Austin as promoter.

Austin would be the main booker who decides who is facing who and who goes over.

Jake would book the storylines for the feuds, like this feud is about a woman, that feud is about redemption, etc. etc.

Bret would book the actual matches, basically lay out how the match will go down in-ring.

Bret talked about Lesnar vs Cripple H..it being 4/10..said he ideas that could if made that match damn near perfect. I think they dismissed his approach backstage..said it in a nice way though.

IDK if that works anymore, wrestling matches now feel too mechanical and lifeless so i don't think that's a good strength anymore. Jake being a master storyteller is a must have, and Stone Cold has great foresight so the booking would be better. I remember Cornette talking about how Mero was supposed to face Austin but the week prior they had Mero take a powerbomb from Sable, Stone Cold called them up and asked who he was going to be facing now because it no longer made sense for him to face a guy that just got beat by a woman.

i voted Jake though because he is most involved currently in a promotion and may have a better grasp of current wrestlers. its not clear to me how much bret and austin follow the products although im sure they are at least somewhat aware

my hesitation from strongly going with jake is that his brain is the most damaged of the 3 and could conceivably do some wild shyt that just wouldnt work

I'm going with Austin because every time I hear him Shoot on what's wrong and what's right and what would Work in this Day & Age and what Worked well back in the day as compared to now, I feel like he's right about a High Majority of it. Austin knows his shyt but I'm not saying Bret or Jake doesn't it just the things that I've heard from Austin that make sense. Dream Booking can really come from People here on The Coli but it takes a little bit more insight of the Business throughout the Years to make it GOOD Booking.

I wouldmt discount Jake Roberts..he freestyles off the top like nobody damn near. I wouldn't think twice putting him in charge of booking matches and angles.

Do you know of any examples of storylines he came up with? It's one thing to be a genius for your own character and another for other wrestlers too.
