Don’t the ring girls make more then some fighters? That ufc reporter dude Ariel makes 500k a year which is crazy to me. I dnt think many fighters get close to that.
UFC made $900 million in 2019 (idk if the 2020 figures are out yet) so there's no reason why their fighters get paid scraps
Dana ain't shyt
If I was a fighter I would put my all into my career stay in shape year round taking a minimum of four fights a year then when I retire make up for lost time later. There are fighters who didn’t respect the process at a certain point and it caught up to them and they weren’t the same Anderson Silva is a perfect example from when he got KOed playing in Chi’s Weidman’s face(soon after signing a new contract) to last October when he got knocked out by Uriah Hall. Silva won only two fights with one of those wins becoming a no contest because he tested for steroids and his opponent tested for weed. A more recent example is former Welterweight Tyron Woodley who ever since he made a rap song about beating ass he’s gotten his ass beat four times in a row in a variety of different ways.
I’m not sure that they got paid like shut tooDon’t the ring girls make more then some fighters?
for better or for worse, breh has gotten boxing back to the center stage of any Saturday he's scheduled. Triller just gotta stop putting these fukkin clowns on during the mid card, and boxing might legit be backIt happened
If you’re going to use the sport to create a circus, at least do your best to make things better for everyone in the fight game. I respect it.

My sentiments exactly. The kid seems extremely annoying, but being hated pays.I can't stand Jake but he's right and respect for using his newly found, and most likely short lived, fighting career to call for change...
Because they got sold recently and have to make that money back. The contracts they give fighters rarely are exposed publicly but they are more like NFL contracts than NBA contracts. The best way to make money is to be a champion from the pay scale for fighting, the uniform fight kit deal, and the PPV points. Awards help too. The UFC had 724 fighters between 11 divisions the end of 2020. It wasn’t until last decade with “mega” fights were certain stars able to leverage one off pay days when they were fighting after a contract finished.
If you don’t fight you don’t get paid and if you don’t fight often or turn down a bunch of fights you don’t make as much money as someone who takes more fights. For every fight that couldn’t happen because of an injury or something often many times the UFC has had up to five different fighters to take a spot in case something happened that’s how Jon Bones Jones got his title shot originally his training partner Rashad Evans was going to fight Shogun for the belt until he had a knee injury. Jones fought Shogun for the belt weeks after beating Bader. two more times Evens was set to fight for the belt but Jon got hurt once and he got hurt. By the time he finally fought Jones for the belt Jones had two defenses of the belt.
Fighters know coming to the UFC to be on their shyt there are avenues to stardom but the greatest pathways to victory and glory remain to those who dare to be great. If you look at most fighters records they fight often when they are young until they reach a certain status where they fight one or twice a year.

But the casual observer, the one who buys these events and is the reason they're so profitable, could care less about fight analysis. My sentiments exactly. The kid seems extremely annoying, but being hated pays.
I also don’t need a fukking Doja Cat performance between fights. I want to see fights-analysis-preview/hype video of next big fight and repeat

Triller is showing the boxing world that there is no replacement for pomp and circumstance.
The usual boxing broadcast has all the sizzle of CNBC between the bells.
This is show business, and the best show wins.
If you're an altruist, there's everything you need when the actual fights happen, but Triller understands there needs to be spectacle begining to end.
This is the space where WWE (and UFC) lapped boxing in the 00s. Boxing has to fight back in this space. It's part of making stars.
