Jacksonville executive V.P. of football operations Tom Coughlin said today that despite starting quarterback Blake Bortles struggling in the preseason, Coughlin never considered signing Kaepernick.

“No, I didn’t. We did the study and the research and we weren’t interested,” Coughlin said, via the Florida Times-Union.

Asked to explain the reason he isn’t interested, Coughlin refused.

“No, I’m not explaining it. I just said what it is,” Coughlin said.

He's always given off the vibes of a cac who probably refers to his players or classifies them as "boy" behind the scenes..

:Fettgpls: indeed..

Well, Mexicac.

The NFL will take off in minority households again once cacs like Coughin, Elway and the like take a dirt nap. Slowly and surely they are becoming a dying breed. Thank God we got Jerry Richardson out the paint, and praise God for Bob McNair and his death. Hopefully Bill Bidwell is next.

Bruh that's still no excuse. He aint the only RB who's had a bad QB yet still was producing and he won't be the last. Not only that, he actually hasnt improved as an RB when he IS healthy. He lacks vision as well as the ability to get yac when he cant run over somebody (which is rare for him).

Add to him not staying healthy and also that foolishness he pulled against the Bills, dude better come with it next year.

When I watch Jacksonville play all I see is 9 and 10 in the box because blake bortles is trash and I don't know why anyone has any expectation that any running back is going to be successful in such a one dimensional offense...and not get hurt...

Him not staying healthy is a direct by product of trash qb play and dude having to break a tackle just to get to the line of scrimmage...

C’mon he couldn’t stay healthy in college. It’s no shock he’s injury prone when guys are bigger stronger and faster

Cause he had the exact same problem...trash ass lsu qb's who didn't even understand the concept of a foreign pass so fournette routinely had to break a tackle just to get to the line of scrimmage...

Fournette did pretty goood his rookie year despite Bortles still being ass. I think he actually got hurt then saw the team calling it quits early in the season and decided to preserve his body. Look for a trade or a holdout over that $7mil, RB’s rookie deals are basically the only money they’ll see due to their shortened shelf life in today’s nfl.

I think he can still be a good back. Just not In jacksonville. This is one of those marshawn Lynch, Willis mcgahee, etc situations where the back is better off elsewhere.

He’s wildly immature tho. When he had a hamstring he would miss treatment regularly. Ended up missing 6 weeks. Ran on to the field and got suspended; Late to meetings; Now pouting on the sidelines

It’s just too much. His talent doesn’t warrant that. He’s no where near saquon and them
