Jaden Smith starred this summer in After Earth.

In other words: we're not sure if the 15-year old actor is the best person to be offering others advice ... especially not like this.

Will and Jada's oldest child took to Twitter over the weekend and encouraging followers to ... drop out of school. To become MORE intelligent.

"School Is The Tool To Brainwash The Youth," the actor wrote, following up this odd message with two more:

"If Newborn Babies Could Speak They’d Be The Most Intelligent Beings On The Planet."
"If Everybody In The World Dropped Out Of School We Would Have A Much More Intelligent Society.”
Jaden is dating Kylie Jenner and is a close friend of Justin Bieber, but it's unclear from whom he gleaned this supposed wisdom.

Smith's parents, of course, are stringent followers of Scientology, which may cause some to raise their eyebrows to an especially high level when reading these comments.

Do you agree with them? Should kids drop out of school?

He's just a moronic rich kid living off his parent's money. w

i kinda see what he's saying but i don't think he expressed himself right. I don't think people should drop out of school. but at the same time i think people are too "open" when they go in school. meaning the values that are thought at school (mini-society) you pretty much have to follow whether you agree with them or not OR you will most likely fail at school. what he said about kids being geniuses, i've often felt like that as well in the sense that when you're younger, your mind is more curious but at the same time their are things you instinctively know. there is less of a filter. then you grow up, school molds you, social circles mold you, jobs mold you, church molds you and they all mold you to their own ideal and you "forget" the wisdom that was in you.

it's not school's fault though and dropping out isn't the answer. because then you'd also have to drop out of the other things i mentioned (church, job, society in general). instead of running away from society, you need to reinforce your grounding. Get to know yourself and what makes sense to you on a spiritual level. build yourself a system of principles and perfect it constantly. once you have that, you can still attend society's institutions without allowing them to corrupt who you are at the core. Instead, you'll just take what you need out of it and leave the rest. it (school) will also teach you about yourself and help you grow.

Yeah
University is meant to expand your mind, test that expansion and then ask you to create something new. The issue is that most peolpe are too undisciplined or stupid to produce anything new in arts/sciences. So they just get their degree and peace.

School is meant to teach your discipline, skills and order before you get to the rigor of university. Let me make this clear: education is the key to wealth. The most educated places in the world are the richest. The least educated are the poorest. In our society, the poorest people are generally high school dropouts and the richest have graduate degrees. Even a college student with a poor degree can get a better job than a high school dropout. The average English degree college student has at least a 40k salary. This is without any real skills. Imagine what an engineering or finance student makes. Besides the skills it teaches you, university also acts as an intelligence proxy. That is, employers know you're smart and hard-working, will hire you because you have a degree. That college student can always go onto graduate school and improve their skills to the point.
Shut up nikkas out here going broke just to get smart.

Some of the riches people in the us barely have high school degrees.

I can't believe we're using school as an excuse for why people are stupid :snoop: what about a lack of good parenting? And not every kid is smart growing up, some people are just really dumb asses, there's a lot of them on here.

I understand his statement he just conveyed his message incorrectly...I agree with the message he is trying to make. ..school feeds the knowledge they want us to know not to think on our own. ..knowledge can be attained in everyday living not just school...I can go on for years about this but anyway. ..I get it...

But seriously people put too much thought into celebrities words...plus he's a teenager! Lol although i agree with his message. ..we all have made incorrect statements..especially as a teenager
