you idiot...this is the prime R&B sound people have missed since the late 90s.
.. goof
what is it about dustheads and nostalgic compositions breh?
You hear that e.piano and prod. ripped right outta the rnb charts of (97/98) and proceed to
Never mind the production being carried by dated rnb chord progressions
never mind the fact that Jacquees whining over trap lyrics:
“Neck was lookin' dry, I bought a piece (It's on fleek)
Complainin' 'bout her smile, I bought her teeth (Bought her teeth)
She can buy her own bags, I bought her three (Bought her three)
Somethin' 'bout her swag, she like to fukk to
Carter 3(Oh)”
sounding like Pleasure P helium voice ass
Producer Kay Gee literally ran this sound into the ground using the same drum patterns over and over that helped define the late 90s w/ songs like Next’s Too Close and Wifey or Jaheim’s Just in Case .. even Zhane’s - Hey Mr. DJ. I didn’t like it that much for Chris’s Juicy Booty track either, but at least he’s good at interpolation because he has musicianship.. songs like Jacquees - My Peace is reductive as hell
