OP comes from the modern day journalism school that editorializes the fukk out of a headline and tells the reader what they are supposed to think before they read it.
"Gender fluid transexuals are teaching 5 year old schools kids how to twerk and...Thats a good thing/is what we need/ any number YAS GIRL white wine mom co-opting of black american women vernacular to describe why from the jump you better agree with this article or you're cancelled.
I read what you posted and its much better than how the OP is painting it and I agree with him. The idea of "Fighting racism" and being "allies of POC" in the mainstream right now is empty and shallow and exactly what politicians who often by their nature rely on empty and shallow rhetoric love. Its also loved by corporate organizations these days. This includes empty slogans "The future is woman" "Love Trumps Hate" and any number of glib woke point fishing statements that sound good but does nothing of substance to change the actual inequalities that exist. The extreme focus on how many labels a person have mean jack shyt for nothing. It's not important when it comes to policy making or what policies are going to make people's live better. Like he said, its great AOC is Latina but at least she came to the table with substance and I don't even think about her being Latina, I think about the ideas she espouses.
Corporations and politicians have realized how much people like OP and the people he stans and reposts from twitter respond to this type of empty meaningless rhetoric while maintaining the system that caused the inequalities they barely touch upon in the first place. Its like when one of these big tech companies hires some queer black woman to head their "Diversity outreach" program but their year to year data barely shows any chance in the hiring of black people in major aspects of their companies and even worse they just act as cover to maintain the inequality in the first place.
This type of political discussion is a joke and its rampant on places like twitter and mainstream political discussion. People like OP perpetuate it further. Tbh, its why I've kind of disconnected from a lot of politics over the past year. Pointless babble.
