There is no black upper class. Its a few black people with decent jobs while everyone else is scraping by. They think a couple athletes changes the game.Class definitely comes into play but when you are black they automatically assume you are poor anyway so it always goes back to race when you look black.
Thing is, they can't get elected and the CBC is easily the most progressive branch of the Democratic party.Socialists are good in their critique of Black Political Leadership. Their problem is underestimating how important white supremacy is to working class whites.

And? I mean, seriously. What is the alternative here? We're talking about a party with AOC and Manchin in it. What did you think was going to happen? They are nominally progressive. The CBC is really a wing of the DNC now. The members depend on it for support.

Look. I support increasnig the size of the house to: DECREASE the reliance on big donors and INCREASE the accountability for local representatives.First they would have to have a break with the donors/ funding system that they rely on for money and jobs. Then they can demand for more radical “progressive” policies and support better candidates.
This is going to happen either way because the democrats at it current state is not sustainable. Corporate Dems like Manchin are going to destroy the party.

I get it.
But blaming black democrats? REALLY?!
I disagree. There’s few districts where a black representative can rely on a majority of black voters to elect them.Black political leaders are compromised right now. It is what it is. And to top it off they ain’t really getting a whole lot of money like that.

Show me a black candidate of your dreams.I’m talking about money. And Not just campaign funding.
