saw this last night, id give it a B+

The score was just absolutely chilling...one of the darkest and most haunting musical scores ive heard outside of a horror movie. It was a cold movie....Portman does a good job showing just absolutely overpowering grief...while at time she comes across as doing an impression (think Ali) but those moments are few and far in between.

Peter Sarsgaard delivered my favorite performance as Robert Kennedy. He combined grief of losing a brother with being the new head of the family and an elected official at once, while helping his grieving sister in law...in a great showing.

Lyndon and Ladybird Johnson effectively became the heels of the movie...as they showed virtually no remorse to Jackie O. And less to Bobby.

This was worth my evening. It was darker than i imagined, which is saying something considering it was about an assasination. By the end, its a good story combining feelings of grief, family, national security, and americas artifacts and history with vanity, jealousy, and general pain.

Liked this a lot too.....I agree the score, (and the movie) was very good, haunting, painful, mourning. Excellent performance by Portman, who I thought was unrecognizable in the role. Loved some of the cinemtagraphy, esp. scenes at sunset around D.C.

most don't realize it but jackie was the one that killed kennedy, the absurdity of that statement may diminish its truth valuenbut rewatch the assassination with that in mind

Might check for this. Sure it will be good too. More than likely Portman did a wonderful role in her job going by the previews that I have saw.

Natalie did a great job, it really was as if she was portraying three different people - The Jackie she portrayed to the world, The Jackie she portrayed to the reporter, and the Jackie her brother in law dealt with. Each of them had their own unique quirks that made them feel different yet connected. Every time she'd make some crazy but succinct and revealing comment to the reporter:huhldup:but then told him he wasn't using that:mjpls:, I was like:whew:

I have to say I don't remember much about the score, except that at some point I did get distracted by it and wished it would stop playing so much. I'd have to rewatch the film (which I'm not sure I want to do) to check specifically for why I felt that way. I saw it really late and all I can remember is that it kept blaring really loudly for long stretches of establishing shots. It was somewhere during the first 30 minutes where I said in my head, enough with this music. I thought silence could have been used more, especially during the funeral sections. Maybe I just missed a great score.
