Jack Harlow aint gonna amount to do damage as yall fear.

alot of people dont take him that serious as a rapper as they would Drake, Durk, Lil Baby, etc.

Eminem will stay being the only CAC, to be taken serious like that.

:flabbynsick: me right now

I don't relate to this generation of music....at all :manny: on one side of the spectrum is emo teenage angst. and on the other side of the spectrum is demonic bodying/smoking on Ops.

Say what you will about Nas and Jay-Z but I'll never get tired of listening to coherent wordplay about the struggle, hustle, and the rewards that come with persevering (champagne, hoes, jets).

The democratization of music making equipment and not needing studio time has done good and bad.

I feel you on this. I know less and less about today's music as time goes on. shyt not the same as it was 20 years ago when I was younger. The industry is constantly changing. People that were hot back then aren't as active anymore or moved on to other things. Like look at Jay-Z. He more of a businessman now instead of making music. Some even moved to acting. I don't think there are much active rappers from before the year 2000. It's gotten to be more and more of a young person's game. Gen Z way different than Millenials and older. Rap also not the same. You see it. The lyrics and flow of the 80s and 90s are way different than the 2010s and this decade. It's more drill and mumble rap. And I'm sure it'll change in the future as well. It's a constantly changing industry with new people coming and going all the time. They just appeal to the younger kids so thats what seems cool at the time. It seems like every generation outgrows rap in some way. I remember a thread not too long ago but not many years back. Was about the XXL rookie class. Maybe 2020 or 2021 not sure. I think it had that one girl that a lot of people were hyping up. I might be thinking of Rubi Rose now that I looked it up. Was a bunch of posters who had no idea who most of the people on that list were. This current rap industry doesn't have as much popularity with the older crowd. It'll be the same thing 5 or 10 years from now with this current generation.

This is a wild thread :mjlol:

My only problem with dudes like this rapper is he can just do what he’s doing and blow up with no problem. It’s hard for a bruh to do this though. There’s a bunch of Jack Harlow’s out here in the real world thoigh, I don’t think they’re any kind of threat though.. Unless you younger folks can tell me something different.
