There was no other character on broadcast TV as savage as Jack at the time. Not sure in the era we live in now if there will ever be another like him. Maybe on cable TV or on a premium channel or streaming but on regular broadcast TV nah.

So during the lockdown, i bought the 24 DVD set, but never got around to watching it.
yo, this show is exciting shyt. it has aged very well, with the exception of some of the technology that is on display like for e.g flip phones and shyt like that.
the supporting cast is also very memorable.
anyway, that's all i wanted to say. gonna go back to watching some more now
out.

i watch the whole series every couple years. it still is entertaining.

When it comes to my GOAT show rankings my shyt always is out of the ordinary because Angel, Banshee, and 24 are in the top 5 along with the Wire, and The Sopranos but the way 24 managed to keep you entertained and interested in the characters for 8 seasons is insane.
Some seasons I enjoy even if they're not the best (looking at you seasons 1 and 6) but as far as consistent fukkery and an a compelling lead character you'd be hard pressed to find a better show than 24.

Season 5, 2, and 7 are my favorites and in that order too.
