Some people think just watching a whole lot of gangsta movies and documentaries and clips and shyt...and loving to listen to gangsta music and trying to become friends with gangstas (because you have money/opportunities to provide them) and all that somehow qualifies them as being a gangsta, lol.

You can tell Irv Gotti embodies this type of person wholeheartedly. Him, Jim Jones, 100 other rappers...no one anywhere knows them or knew them for pain, ever. Even Irv's name...even his record company name...it's all based on other people's gangsta. I can't watch this but I watched the first one he did on Drink Champs, he's entertaining because he's reckless and we love that dumb shyt...but he's like an undeniable, serious clown, lol.

Interview is a trainwreck. Irv is bitter as fukk to the point it's just hard to watch. I'm gonna tune out soon. Watching the Ashanti part right now and literally none of this shyt needed to be aired out on a rap podcast.

Issue is he’s making a LOT of sense with what his issue with her is but its coming OFF extremely bitter and misogynistic even though he tried to clean it up later in the interview.

Also Irv is coming off like a jilted ex the way he keeps referring to their “relationship”. Not a good look.

He’s super honest to a fault, I give him a modicum of respect for that.

He the first person to give a good rationale on why he should have the masters and not the artist...Artists can still go out and tour crazy..she on 20nyears of touring. his only stream of benefitting is the masters. I totally get that point of view
Yeah they get paid for performing the song

Agreed it def sounds like Ashanti pulled a wack move. Even if she was concerned about the legal stuff she wasn't in any danger legally or physically so...yea, disloyalty. But calling a woman out her name like that multiple times and being so bitter when she wasn't really his girlfriend is just weird as fukk. While he was with his wife too which makes it weirder. Just not something most men would wax poetic about publicly especially since there's the L involved from Nelly. Actually I won't call that an L. Nelly was THAT dude at the time lol, it was inevitable.
