You'd be right. Rappers go to great lengths to convince their audiences that they're actually living what they're rapping about. Rick Ross had to fukking lie about being a corrections officer because of how it might harm people's perceptions of him. It's so bad that the rappers literally say shyt like "I'm not one of these rap n*ggas"

Keanu Reeves speaks about his character John Wick in interviews, when rappers are interviewed they're always in character. The comparisons people draw between rappers and actors are obviously flawed and faulty.

This nikka is 4 years outside of being a teenager. I was already an E5 going to E6 in the military at 23 in charge of nikkas older and younger than me. He’s not a fukking child anymore.
