Morant probably leading MVP race right now...
Not that it really matters, but he’s missed too many games and the Grizzlies won too many games without him too. Just a week or so ago folks were talking about how the team were performing better without him.

He’s having a great season, regardless of the [meaningless] MVP discussion.

He's only missed 13 games, it isn't too much.....yet. Theoretically he could play every game The rest of the way, that would be 69 of 82...

The biggest indictment on his case is what I'll agree with you on, Memphis is 11-2 without him. Alot of those wins were over Portlands (2x), Sacramento's (2x), Houstons, OKC, etc. But it does hurt him to a degree...

Memphis finishes with a Top 2 seed would mean they take a spot from GS or Phx, and they do that while he maintains this degree of play and misses no more than maybe 3-4 games rest of the way, he's gonna have a really, really strong shot at it. Grizzlies may finish with the best record in their history this year...

On the flip side, Nuggets lost 15 games with Joker being active in those games but he's still in the conversation.

Ben was supposed to be the next Magic/Bron…Donovan was the appetizer…Yet one is gunning for 1st All NBA and the other has given half his contract to his shrink

Taking Trae over Luka was explained as a travesty. Yet one has already lead his team to the conference finals and the other chased his coach out of town and has only seen the 2nd round with a vr set

Zion was supposed to be damn near the new face of American sports while Ja was going to be a nice player that adds value to the legacy of “Zion’s draft class” Now one is on his way to leading his young team to the playoffs again, MVP talk and possibly the best record ever in franchise history while the other is bytching about everything behind the scenes, always hurt and dipping his Cheerios in cocoa

None of us know shytt dogggg :picard::picard:

Y’all said that about Houston a few years ago.. we all know how that ended

I don't know about all of that. I just like how youngin gets after it.

You already know how I feel about the Dubs bruh. But I love watching Morant do his thing.

Also people gotta take into consideration Draymond makes a huge difference with ball movement and defense. We fukk with him and call him Triple Single but dudes role with those team is sorely missed and really can't be replicated.

None of us know shyt but some of these calls were easy to see...

Touting Zion as a can't miss pick was ALWAYS questionable, I and others questioned it the whole time. His weight was an issue at Duke, and he wasn't a good defensive player at Duke. Doesn't mean those things can't get corrected in the pros, but that's enough to question his viability as a transcendent basketball player...

Enters The League and immediately is missing time, weight and conditioning issues are worse, him being a limited scorer is highlighted even more now, and him being a sieve defensively is embarrassing given his size and athleticism. But none of these things were unpredictable, if your analysis of Zion was based on what you actually saw rather than his "potential" or talent....

I always thought Ja would be the better pro. Played with less talent in college and displayed a hunger for improvement you never saw with Zion that still continues in their third year. Granted, Ja's ceiling was iffy, but I think its clear now that we all know he is motivated to succeed his ceiling is way, way up there...

Trae led his team to a conference finals in an unorthodox season where injuries to potential opponents and playoff seeding broke in his favor. Gonna have to see that more than once to throw him a parade, still can justify picking him over Luka as of yet...

Ben was always overrated too. Some of these things weren't hard to envision...
