This isn't exactly a secret, lol. Cole is a solid dude.
But I do think this explains why the music has always been a little dry and on the "missing something" side. Cole has his moments, but I have always believed that his upbringing and surroundings coming up have contributed to the music coming off like it's in definite need of some soul. It's like food with no seasoning.
