I be thinking a lot of times when rappers and producers say they got certain features for free ..it’s cap

or purposely done so the other act (usually bigger than them) looks like he’s doing charity work for the sake of hip hop culture because he doesn’t need the money…it’s low key just a flex

I’m certain drake does it when he does these random appearances …but he just takes all the money once the song generates revenue :mjlol:
The dude who made “Look Alive” is still trapped in the shadow realm never to be seen again :wow:

Cole still getting his points as a songwriter and performer from whatever sales and streams it does so not exactly charity. But showing love and not charging to hop on an independent release is a good look for someone of Cole's stature if he's cool with Benny or a fan.

Different story if it's a major label release. Collect your fee in that case


Benny is on Def Jam. He IS on a Major Label

This happens more often than people think…a lot of rappers only do features with artists they fukk with and swaps happen too.

Cole still gets royalties so it’s not “free” it’s mutually beneficial for both parties.
