was listening to the album this morning as i was getting dressed etc.
it's decent..his best album which isn't saying much without trying to shyt on him.

i like the majority of it.

the dip this album takes after Fire Squad is bad..starts picking itself up again on Apparently.
edit- No Role Modelz is good..forgot about that being in the middle of some garbage songs.

St. Tropez..how you can not pull this song off with THAT sample ? c'mon son.
Hello...terrible and all over the place..a better producer could have fixed it.

not including the intro and outro you've got 7 decent to good songs and the rest were forgettable/garbage.
thats good for a Cole record but if you're invested in Cole as an artist you should be very happy with his product this time around.

also, i must really underestimate how much the relatable aspect is important to people because Cole is pretty forgettable as an artist to me.
i've always saw him as just a good enough rapper who's capable of a great verse now and again and a decent at best producer yet he has such following and gets put on a certain pedestal i've never felt matched his music/talent.

must be how people felt when Kanye first came out a decade plus ago...except Kanye knocked it out the park first time.

the most amusing thing is people saying you need to be smart to get Cole..people moaning to that Big Ghostface guy on twitter about it reminded me just how precious people are if a supposed "respected" person doen't like your favorite rapper and the excuses people come up with.

solid 8/10. Definitely his best work. Some of the songs are great but wane after hearing them multiple times (such as Wet Dreams)

Logic's album is better but yall wont hear me

hence the quotation marks...he ain't shyt but someone who stopped being amusing more than a year ago but if theres enough people out there that are upset/baffled as to why someone who's a caricature of Ghostface not co-signing their favorite cornball rapper then it says more about them than it does that guy.

GOMD is a bangah. Listen to it at least 5 times straight. Trust me you'll be hooked. The production alone is like a fukkin journey then add the hook which gets you hyped then throw on Cole's lyrics :wow:

Thought it was losing appeal to me, so I didn't listen to it for a couple days. Revisiting it today, and I think its just as good as I thought it was. It does have its flaws (mainly that Cole isn't that good of a singer), but its still better than his previous two albums, and a top 5 Hip-Hop album of the year.

You gotta listen to albums for at least a week. What do you think about GOMD?
