Kanye reached Jay's stature while being the everyman rapper, and changed after. But what you described is why he is popular. People like artists that they can relate to. It is his lane and Kendrick's. You can never let people down who listen to you to hear their own perspective regurgitated back at them. But if you think he does not want to be more successful then you're kidding yourself. Dude gets heated when he does not win awards.
