But how often or how many times has she gonna be injured?

It’s gonna be a true tragedy when she comes to the E and gets injured by one of them trash green NXT girls doing that :flabbynsick::flabbynsick:E style wrestling that puts so many folks on the shelf and she injured like 2/3s of her career then given that Hideo treatment:sadbron:

True fans care about they fav wrestlers health:damn:

With all due respect to Hideo/KENTA, even without the injury his ceiling was quite low IMO because size matters a lot more for the guys (nh) and because as a performer he's not really 'special'. Innovative af back in the day, yeah, but once every indy VM copied his style, what are you left with? He never seemed like a great fit in WWE to me.

Io's skillset is in a different league to Kenta. If you follow her career, she pretty much reinvents her whole moveset every 18 months or so and the majority of it is spectacular shyt that ONLY she can pull off

Anyone can get injured, but beyond that I can't see any scenario where Io is Hideo status. The day she signs a WWE contract she instantly becomes the best and most unique performer they have.

Relative success is different for Io and Kenta too, because of how small the joshi scene is in Japan. Even having one marquee Takeover match in front of 10k people is bigger than anything she could have ever achieved in Japan. Like how that one match made Pete Dunne a bigger star than he could ever have been just grinding in the UK indies his whole career.

Again.... it’s not her I’m concerned with

Whatever her style was, she’s gonna be forced to be indoctrinated to what they do here. 65% of her moveset probably will be lost.

And again being in ring with weaker green girls that used to be models, pro team cheerleaders, dancers, and fitness instructors:picard:

Yes, anyone can get hurt at ANYTIME.

But the rare cats get hurt in the E is alarming.

Cats be in other feds or indies going years or decades with no real injury, but come to the E and get a MAJOR injury that puts them on the shelf.

And depending on where they are, the office loses faith in them and there career is low key over or due to having a billion peeps on the roster, next man/woman up takes off and the ball don’t get passed back.

Pete Dunne is a bad example.... like you cited... that ONE MATCH and I don’t think many peeps have really cared for him since then

If she takes off that’s what’s up and more power to her, but if not..... she’s losing so much time and money.:mjcry:

I think comparing him to Kenta/Itami is also a little bit of a dodge because the rumor was KENTA was going to retire. I remember the talk BEFORE the NXT debut was about how he was limping around like an old man. He was already dealing with the aggregate of a life wrestling a pretty stiff, impactful style. That he got hurt was no surprise, considering the extant wear and tear on his body and the WWE's schedule as much as its style.

his first injury was long before there was a hectic main roster schedule..NXT schedule is very lightweight.

:damn:

Another reason to be happy about her coming to WWE, she won't be taking shyt like that & they'll actually tone her down a little bit which is a good thing in her case.

Na.... she just gonna have freak injury when getting in the ring with dangerous green superstars (cuz they aint even wrestlers in the E.... per Vince) :hubie: like Bianca Blair, Taynara Conti and people who she has more experience than combined:usure:

:whoa: But I'm gonna hope for the best for her
