They don't have to deport all the Joshi ladies and bar them from coming back but they should never again be what the women's division is built around.
Shida and Riho can stick around. They can also have special appearances from some of the other ones every one in a while but the roster is far more entertaining when they aren't the focus.

but last year they had an excuse. The other women weren't signed or ready.. Now that's out the window. They have more than enough talent to have a good division.. legit star power. Thunder Rosa, Dr. Britt, Jade etc. could be stars.

Also, their Joshis are second rate. The best are either in WWE or Stardom.

The issue is that they treat the joshi women as completely separate from all the other women to the point where it might as well just be a separate division all together. And you can't even blame COVID, because pre-COVID they treated it the same and the only reason you were given to care about the joshis was JOSHI JAPAN SO GOOD RIGHT GUYS. If they can't integrate them into the rest of the division and storylines, then maybe they should drop them or just fly them in for a showcase match on big shows once or twice a year like some shyt WCW would do.

I've been saying this for the last year, breh. I think everyone in the weekly AEW threads are tired of me saying it too

Outside of Shida, most of them either suck in the ring OR have absolutely no charisma whatsoever that can generate a reaction from the American crowds. WWE really hit homeruns with Asuka, Kairi and Io.

Kylie Rae and Kong retired and the pandemic happened. Rosa doesn’t work for AEW yet and she showed up in august, they needed Shida to bridge that gap. Baker needed this past year to put it all together. She wasn’t performing like this a year ago. NOW is the time to transition from Shida to Britt
