Amir Khan To Kell Brook: Let's Do Winner Takes All!
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 3/31/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to Amir Khan, he is willing to face domestic rival Kell Brook, who holds the IBF welterweight title - within twelve months time. Following Saturday four round destruction of Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield on Saturday night, Brook challenged Khan to fight him on June 13th. Khan, who plans to return in late May, will not face Brook in June but hopes to fight him within a year's time.

Khan is so confident of victory that he wants to do a "winner takes all" agreement for Wembley. He is possibly waiting for the outcome of the three belt showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd - hoping to fight the winner in the fall.

Khan told Sky Sports News: "Kell Brook, if you want to take the fight, winner takes all. I'm up for it because I know I'll take everything because I'll beat you. Let's do it, man."

Khan Warns He May End Brook's Career With a Beating
Posted by: Boxing Clever on 3/31/2015 .

Amir Khan is prepared to fight Kell Brook at Wembley within the next 12 months but has told the Sheffield fighter he has other opponents to take on first.

Brook's team had called on Khan to set a date for a fight this summer after defending his IBF welterweight title with a stoppage win over Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield.

But Khan told Sky Sports News HQ that Brook is not on his radar for his next fight.

“I’d love to go in the ring and fight Kell Brook, it could be his last fight against me because the thing is, I [could] give him that much of a beating it could end up being his last fight," Khan said.

“And maybe that’s why he wants it, because he knows that last fight against me will financially secure him for the rest of his life. So maybe he just wants that

“It’s all about timing: if I’ve got a different route and I want to face the likes of the Mayweathers and Pacquiaos out there, then Kell Brook will have to wait.

“We don’t want to rush this fight because it is going to be a big fight. It’s going to be a huge fight but it’s all about the timing.

“Kell Brook was saying he was going to forget about Amir Khan, he wants to fight Pacquiao and Mayweather. These guys don’t know who Kell Brook is. Regardless of if he is a world champion, he’s just a name.”

Khan, who produced a dominant display to secure a unanimous points victory over American Devon Alexander in Las Vegas in December, said he could not fight Brook next because he was already in negotiations with another opponent, with that fight to be announced “in the next couple of days”.

The four leading contenders for that fight are former three-time world champion Adrian Broner, WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman, Manny Pacquiao’s last opponent Chris Algieri and current WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto.

And the Bolton boxer’s tip for the Mayweather-Pacquiao superfight? While he counts Pacquiao as a friend, Khan said: “Realistically we’re looking at Mayweather to take the fight because he’s just that much better, I think, at his most skilful”.

Palms Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nev. - British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) has the groundwork laid out for his 2015 campaign. Khan, while speaking to BoxingScene.com, said that he will fight twice this year and that the fights will likely take place at the end of May and in December.

Khan said that he plans on lining up his opponent for his May return in the next couple of weeks.

One name that Khan is looking at as a possible opponent for 2016 is undefeated WBA "regular" welterweight champion Keith Thurman.

"Keith Thurman is a great fighter. He's a great champion. Obviously the best want to fight the best. This is the business we are in. An Amir Khan-Keith Thurman fight, maybe that fight can happen next year. We both keep getting better and better. You also got Kell Brook there. There are a lot of big fights. It is just a matter of being patient," said Khan.

Khan's problem is that he wants the Floyd (and to a lesser degree Pac) fight but he hasn't done anything recently to make anyone else want to see that fight.
That Devin Alexander fight did nothing for him truthfully and at this point Amir is going to have to get an exciting signature win against someone worthwhile in order to force his name into the conversation of being the next dude to fight Floyd.

He want to get a fall fight with either Pac or Floyd, more likely Pac, then next year he'll probably fight all these 147 dudes. He's doing exactly what Bradley did, hes ducking dangerous fights and taking soft touches til he fights the top dogs. :shaq2:

fukk AMIR KHAN !!!!!

This shyt angers me, him hoping to get a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight .. I hope both of these men ignore this overpromoted name that Amir Khan is until he fights Brook. Whoever has that IBF title should be next in line to fight Mayweather.

Make the Brook and Thurman fight happen

Is swear if Khan's next ohhh is gainst some Diego Chavez ass muthaphukkas rather than a top tier welterweight I will literally be outside picketing the fight . . Somebody make a petition for Amir Khan to not get a Maywether or Pacquiao shot

Haymon is somehow behind this

this nygga Khan has been rambling this kind of shyt way before Haymon became his manager.'

I hate the way Khan does things, but I understand it. Inside the ring, he's all heart. Outside the ring, he's all business. There really is no emotion involved in his decision making. He takes a logical approach, accepts the fact that he could lose, even in fights that I would favor him in, & decides to avoid potential tough fights altogether in hopes of securing a mayweather/pac fight.

The nygga really didn't want to fight Alexander, a guy that never posed any threat to him stylistically. It's the idea that loses that scares him while May/Pac are on the way out.

The reality of it is, as someone mentioned early, if he won a big fight, he could get the fights that he craves.

The downside to having big draws is that guys avoid each other trying to position themselves into a big fight. I'm still disgusted at all the fights we missed in the heavyweight division over the years just because they wanted to face Wlad.
