I've lost 20 pounds. Does face-fat generally take longer to leave than the rest?

When I started my fitness journey in the summer, I was around 188 pounds. I am now 170 pounds and have made major strides; however, I feel as if my face fat hasn't rid itself as much as the belly-fat has, for instance.

Is this normal? Should I keep going until I'm satisfied?

shyt varies like crazy bruh. My brother has never been out of shape a day in his life. Dude is just a gym freak. But his face is chunky as hell.

its not realistic to be cut all year long unless you using steroids. If you tryna to push weight you gonna have to put some fat on. UNLESS you do it slow. OP not taking it slow tho
20 pounds over the course of 5 months is a good pace. I thought I'd be a lot skinnier than I am. The results haven't shown in the mirror as much as they have on the scale.

I completely understand, I went from 198 to 164 at my own pace over about 2 years or so and I can only now really just tell the difference. In alot of my area's like my back and around the love handles it looks almost the exact same as it did when I was at 198.

However my face looks about the same to me, but to others' that had not seen me in since then usually are like "man you really lost that weight" or " your the same size you were in high school" Honestly when I was gaining weigh I didn't even really how puffy in the face I was getting, my sister who is always honesty was like you getting fat, "looks like you been stung by bee's" :deadmanny:

I was like oh hell nah, im not gonna be one of those people.

But yeah you might just not have the facial structure to have a dope jawline regardless of how much weight you lose. I'm in that boat, a nikka just got a round face :to:

Keep up the hustle though, the next 10 or so pounds are probably were you will actually see the most difference in your body.

Fat sheds at its own discretion and everybody loses it in different places first. You should be happy it's shedding from your mid section though, that's usually the area most people find to be extremely stubborn and last to go. Just keep at it and eventually it will go. Unfortunately there's no such thing as spot reduction.
Nothing to add but the fact that I lost about 95lbs of fat and even my shoe size dropped :manny:

Because you look at your face everyday, it will seem to take as long to lose weight when its probably losing weight the same or similar proportion as the rest of your body.

others will notice your weightloss in your face before you will lol

The most I've ever lost (from what I've recorded) was about 11 pounds in a month (about 30 days). I was just super motivated to lose the weight and didn't cave in too much to eating for pleasure rather than for energy. If someone knows about health and had the discipline to practice it, I believe they could lose 150 pounds of excess fat in one year if they needed to if not more. Allah Knows Best.

I think it varies from person to person. I tend to lose weight off my face first, and the final thing to go for me to go is belly fat. But I have seen others who even at a quite low BF still have a chunky face.
