I've been eating coco bread and beef patty wrong my whole life

The coco bread is a filler. I don't like too much bread or dumplings. I prefer cook food, yam and bananas and dem tings deh. What makes me fuming mad is stores selling patty with cheese
These cats don't know, b. Ridiculous, I mean ridiculous lines around lunch time.

when did Jamaican spots start selling it with cheese?
when i was growing up only pizza spots did that.
i been in the midwest for the past few years, and when i do go to nyc i eat my moms cooking.
guess im out of the loop.

Cheese inside of a patty must be an American thing, surely? My mum's Jamaican, I've been to Jamaica and I've never heard of this in my life. None of the Jamaican spots round my way ever sell that.

callaloo patties aka vegetable patties, and curry chicken patties have always been a thing.
but i never seen any Jamaican spot selling cheese patties growing up.

Calaloo patties are normal though. I've literally had chicken, beef, ackee and saltfish, vegetable & shrimp patties but never heard of them with cheese.
I even just checked the website for Juici Patties (big up if you know) and they've got a cheese one there. I feel like I've missed out on something
