Man, if Miesha would have missed weight or missed the weign-in altogether...Dana might have killed himself on the spot.
This is truly one of the greatest builds to anything ever, and indicative of every single mistake Dana and the Fertitas have made over the last few years. Their need to micromanage fighters bit them in the ass. Catering to Conor over and over again and making him think he can do anything bit them in the ass. Their deal with USADA bit them in the ass. Hell, Brock even gave a gigantic middle finger to their Reebok deal to boot. Miesha missing the weigh-in/missing weight just would have been icing on the cake of an absolute clusterfukk of a promotion cycle.
They went from a monumental rematch to another monumental rematch to a fight which would probably draw 85,000 buys by itself, and it's all their own doing.

I have no ill will towards Bones Jones but he's all but done. He's gonna get a 2 yr ban at minimum. With no commitment to fighting keeping him in check he will just devle deeper in his sorrows a d back on the coke again.
By the time 2 yrs is up, the UFC will be in a very different place. No fertittas nor dana. 2 yrs of usada testing I would imagine having Robert kraft in tow they wld want to be seen as clean as possible. They won't want the negative PR Jones will bring with him. And he prolly won't be able 2 make lhw. Wld be a skinny leg, hw who cnt knock out hw's. He's done.

He looked better than I expected considering the circumstances.
it is telling that in their biggest event to date: hendricks can't make weight, meisha barely makes weight, conor openly rebelling against their promotional duties and getting left off the card, ronda seemly refusing to get into fighting shape like she doesn't want to be there anymore, brock's passive-aggressive stance against the reebok deal, the USADA crackdown, and all the rumblings over the years about the subpar compensation + medical coverage that only lasts while they're still under contract for injuries that are likely gonna stick with them well after retirement/said contract expires...
Definitely some deeper issues going on behind the scenes, despite all the success.
Meisha claims she could potentially make strawweight...but she barely made 135....in her 1st title defense....horrible.
How has Johnny lasted this long? Give him an ultimatum to fight @ '85 or let him go fight somewhere else.
