How was his rookie season last year? He didn't play a single minute in the NBA :wtf:

You're literally arguing with the NBA about their own definition of what they view as a rookie, I mean what the fukk.
Just my opinion. I don't think a guy that has been in the league for 2 years should be considered a rookie. I mean just read that...2nd year in the league but your a rookie.

You quoted me dumb ass
The fact that you come up with that illogical ass reasoning is mind blowing to me. A rookie is a player who is playing his first season in the NBA. You have some dumbass logic when it comes to basketball breh.

The coach can talk all he wants, but until he goes out there and does it on his own it does not count as "experience" as you are trying to argue.

:whoa:
h, BG won that award easy that year. John Wall was a turnover machine, couldn't shoot, and didn't know how to control himself on the court. I saw it at Kentucky, dude was out of control most of the time

But he was the best true rookie that season. I agree Blake was the better player but dude wad right when he said they do get one season to mentally and physically prepare with his team and staff
In fact until dude mmentioned it I never even thought about that advantage. yeah i know Blake was injured but he could still mentally prepare, study playbook, build chemistry and friendships

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

It's not a hard concept to understand, he didn't play in the NBA last year, therefore he's a rookie :dead:

Is Nikola Mirotic not a rookie to you? He was drafted 4 years ago and has played pro ball elsewhere.

That's a TERRIBLE argument and I am a huge John Wall fan :mjlol:

In the case of Noel, he didn't even play a full season in college...he literally did not play another full game that counted 20 months later after that ACL injury.

Nah quit acting like I'm being unreasonable. NFL doesn't think so. A rookie QB can ride the bench the entire season..then start the next season. The NFL doesn't recognize that player a rookie but a 2nd year player that didn't play. Let's just say a NBA dude gets drafted but doesn't play a minute...is he a 'rookie' the next season?

I never thought it was fair to include him in rookie discussions, he's not a true rookie. Yea he didnt play last year but a year of NBA training and coaching gives him a huge advantage over the true rookies imo

By your logic, Niko Mirotic isn't a rookie but in his 4th season :skip:

When it comes to injury? I don't know how the NFL handles it, but I think the NBA handles it pretty well. Also, many backup Quarterbacks hold the ball for the field goal kicker in games...that should count as time on the field as well.

If you literally cannot play because you are injured the entire season...you are a rookie even if you were around the team. I don't see how anything else can be argued.

This is Mirotic first year in the league. He's a rookie. The 'rookie' terminology should be connected with a players contract imo. If a dude gets drafted and rides the bench for 3 years with no PT..he ain't a damn rookie his 4th season

Im saying Blake was the better player and technically he was rookie so yeah he won the award but again he had a full season to work with his team and prepare so he was at an advantage over Wall.

Last 10 games for Noel:
16 PPG, 10 RPG, 2.4 BPG, 2 SPG - Shooting 56% from the field and damn near 70% from the foul line.

So Mirotic played pro ball for several years if more of a rookie than someone who only played 24 games out of high school before turning pro? Just because he was around nba players?

WOW...

Like I said...in my opinion (and many of the other pro sports leagues) a rookie Is someone in their first season. If I'm correct this is Mirotic's first season in the NBA. Rookie. It's really a matter of terminology I guess. To refer to Noel's salary last year would you say "Noel made 4 mil his rookie season and didn't even play" or "Noel made 4 mil his first season then made 4 more mil his rookie season?..easily the first. Right?
