I would enjoy a series focusing on the academy perhaps following a main character from 1st year to commissioning featuring cameos from some of our favorite ST characters like Worf, Data, Sisko, Miles O Brien, Seven of Nine and so forth. The "Go where no man has gone before" premise is played out. Why travel the galaxy and fall into a monster of the week type scenario when you can do like DS9 did and bring space to you? I could mess with that but another TNG/VOY/ENT re-tread? No thanks!

Miss trek on the TV. This franchise is not star wars, it is built and really excels in the television format.
They could stick to the reboot of original Trek with the movies and do a TNG reboot on the small screen.

it takes them 3 years to make that decision to get back to real syfy. that's why AMC and TNT outshining these b*stards because they are taking risks. and what makes more no sense is that syfy is a part of universal. they should be getting money hand over fist for programming.
