Yeah they're cool but they're treading water though.. just imagine a Star Trek series with a nice story arc on a Netflix, HBO, FX, or Cinemax

I think a DS9 type of show would work again on the small screen. We definitely could use a Hawk-like lead in sci-fi!!!

The TV game aint what it use to be when it was at the height of its success. I don't think it would work. Too many other shows and channels on now. Way more variety. They already have a good thing with the big screen.

How many movies did Marvel drop before the show though in how many years. And Star Trek is just one movie with a few characters. If Colson wasn't such a polarizing character, they wouldn't have attempted Agents of Shield. And to take it further, if Agents was simply a stand alone show with no Marvel movies to support it, it wouldn't be on now.

a new star trek series would be great but my biggest fear is that would too heavily rely on action and adventure.

not saying there isn't a place for that in star trek but my favorite thing about star trek were the questions it raised about humanity and our place in the world in general.

i will take a philosophical debate between kirk and spock, or picard and data.... over all the klingon warships and galactic wars you could throw at me.

but i'll take those too.

maybe we should get 50 to buy out the channel so there can be a channel with nothing but black scifi. that would be hilarious!!!
