I swear I'm not making this up, they had an article on car and driver about it. It was teased at the la auto show by an acura executive but now I can't find it, they must have taken it down. This was the only thing I could find.

all i see are them ugly ass TLs all over the road. I've seen the new TLX, i really only like how the LED headlights look. Their lineup is ass tho.

i've also seen one RLX, it looks ugly.

I have the 09 TSX, still rides as good as the day I bought it. No major issues yet. Gonna ride this shyt till the wheels fall off

I want to say enthusiasts are dying out, but the GTI, FR-S, etc say otherwise

I also agree that Acura has reliability the Germans dont. I dont know that I could buy any German car ATM, I just bought a new car and I drove, liked and passed on a GTI out of reliability fears.

IDK what Acura can do at this point. The game is so saturated and competitive at this point its hard to say how they can break in. Truthfully the time for them to have made a move was in 96. They should have made the Legend/Vigor RWD to go against the Germans. Instead they went too conservative because the Japanese economy crumbled.

I think at this point their best bet would be to make their cars look good. Most folks dont care about performance like that. Thats why BMW softened the 3 series and Mercedes has made the C class a baby S class (again... like they did with the 190E and the first C Class). People want comfort, luxury and style. The 2004-2007/8 TSX/TL were huge because they looked great. They just need to go back to that.

Yeah ever since acura changed their style in 09 they have fallen off a cliff
Before that, i thought they had a great lineup. That 04-08 TL is a beautiful looking car
The tsx was a great entry level luxury car and was well built. My boy has an 04 with 235 thousand miles, still going strong.

I do see a lot of TLs. But I rarely see cats my age driving them. G35 and G37's are popular too. But the Camaro's, Stangs, and Challengers, are by far the most popular. It's like the mid-2000s when everybody in Atlanta had a 6th gen Monte Carlo

It's a long time since I cared for an Acura. I used to have a 2008 TL Type S that I fukking loved. It looked sexy, drove well, and had a sporty interior. I miss that Acura. The problem is Honda has cannibalized its own product. I mean the 2014 Accord fully loaded is thousands of dollars less than the Acura counterpart and all you really miss is the Acura badge.

Well Acura didnt make the NSX, it was a Honda vehicle first and they just added the acura badging when they brought it to north america. What engine did you put in your accord, I'm curious, and what hybrids does acura make? The only hybrid they have in the lineup is the RLX sport hybrid, which pushes 377 hp.

im not saying they made hybrids, im saying it looks like some meep meep green vehicle.

I put an F22B, (the Prelude engine before the H22) and threw a turbo in there.
