That being said
Namor an easy top 5 MCU villain. He fukks shyt up, he's got a real threatening presence, he's an actual character and not just an obstacle, he's reasonable at times and gives Wakanda a chance, he just wants to protect his people and understands how evil white folks can be, etc. and his whole civilization is really cool
The way he fights is dope too. I normally don't like flying much, there's a lack of weight to it, but he's kinda dancing or skating through the air. There's weight to it and it looks dope.
It's still queer Panther and the sea mexicans but BP 2 might be a top 3 superhero movie of all time and Namor is GOATED

That's another issue I had with the movie. They made Wakanda look weak as hell. Really in every movie to feature Wakanda it has looked weak. If Ccogler is able to look at these films and get the right action/fight choreography teams and vfx....he will will be complete....otherwise he should stick with drama films

Its ok, probably the best in what has been a weak phase 4ā¦.i give it a 3.5/5ā¦.some issues like shurri being the bp kinda bothered me. And the film seemed to focus on how close she was to her brother but she aint know he had a kid

I think it's totally valid for them to want some representation. Just bc their struggle was nothing like ours doesn't mean they don't have a right to want to see themselves just like Asians could want representation despite not going through what we went through. I think it's natural to want to see characters like yourself being represented
Maybe the degree of representation should be different, but everyone is entitled to some representation nonetheless

Marvel did all they could to honor Chadwick and his portrayal of Black Panther and at the same time continue the story in a meaningful way. They exceeded my expectations and I went in with none. Letitia Wrightās ability to convey grief really broke my heart. Personally, I think they made the right decision to take the story in this direction and make her BP, if only for a short time. Namor has sooo much screen presence. I was in awe every time he showed up. Him and the other Talokan people were pretty terrifying. Definitely one of the best marvel movies.
