Even for the *mildly religious* Arabs (yknow the ones that drink, smoke, fornicate) religion is a huge part of their lives and has a huge influence on them.This especially manifests in pressure from their families

Islam is up there with Judaism and Hinduism in that it demands a strong amount of dedication from its followers and is HEAVILY tied to Ethnocentric identity. Catholicism and Christianity were a huge part of Western colonialism/imperialism so many people of different races and nationalities practice them. They're not so tied to a certain nationality/ethnicity.
