Your logic is short sighted. Trump's lawyers are arguing that the president of the United States should be able to determine the law and how it's executed with no checks or balances. This is bigger than this case. Do you know what kind of door this opens? He's trying to establish a rule of law where he can label anyone illegal, anyone who dissents, anyone who gets in his way, anyone who can be used as a political pawn or PR story. Guilty or not, citizen or not, they can be labeled a terrorist or a gang member without due process and get sent abroad to places where people don't come back. El Salvador’s Cecot mega-prison is widely known in that country as an extermination camp. People go in but they don't come out. This is how Hitler rose to power. People who say we're fear mongering or crashing out are not reading the room or the law. This is not hyperbole.
