I'm a need in on these tag list I be around not as active though. Depending on work schedule I'm a be in here on game days hopefully
Yeah I'm relying on the coli to keep me up to date on everything too. Unless it's a late game on the west coast I'll be lucky to see post game highlights. :mjcry:

I'm excited to see Hoiberg run an actual offense and hopefully playing guys that deserve to play, to see if Jimmy takes another leap, Niko's development.

Not looking forward to us having damn near the exact same team, another year of "Is Derrick healthy/normal", Pau's decline, us wasting assets, Kirk being on the team

In the ocean where the sharks be at
Main thing im paying attention to is how Noah look and how hoiberg uses Jimmy/Rose.

Rose already said he's a scoring point so he gon be full throttle lookin to cook nikkas and Jimmy made it known he want the rock more to get his point forward on. As time goes on I think there's a chance it end up lookin like those old OKC forth quarters where u had harden(Jimmy) setting nikkas up and KD/Russ(Rose) going berserk.

Noah the key tho. We about to give a gang of important minutes to some non athletic, no defense playin white boys so if Noah ain't 100% and can't guard the paint, we won't make it out the second round.

300 murders a year
Optimistic of a fluid offense and rose and jimmy being our 1 and 2 (:whoa: no order jimmy) being even better this season.

But 2nd rd is likely our ceiling, we again don't have the personnel to compete for a title and our golden opportunity to win it all with the little engine that could roster was last year and we blew it. The league is better but garpax was too much into their ego to admit they once again dropped the ball building the roster. Of course I'm repping bulls gang all day, but cleveland is better, and whoever coming out west is better, hell I'm not too confident we getting past Washington.

Best case maybe the ecf?

Keys to the season:

Can Rose get back to all star level (and stay healthy)?

Can Noah get back to anything resembling DPOY form?

Will Hoibergball be a success?

Can Doug/Snell step up and be solid rotation pieces?

@red222 clean up that first post a bit breh, too long

1. I think if playoff D-Rose (minus game 6) is any indicator, I think he'll be fine.

2. I say if he starts looking like an all-star again, we trade him while the value is high :mjpls:

3. No comment.

4. I say Hoiberg might not have as much bias towards his younger players and give them a legitimate chance. If they don't hop into the rotation, then we know that they are underperforming behind the scenes.

Maybe we should've collectively came to a consensus on a thread title :patrice:. And that list of Bulls fans and our affiliates on the 1st page looks suspect :patrice:. (e.g. I know that original man dude is not a Bulls fan. Every time I come across one of his posts, dude is stanning Lebron).

I'll be posting more 'traditional' quick thoughts on the season in a few.

Some quick random thoughts on the upcoming season:

  • Rose needs to be more consistent. This doesn't necessarily call for him to be the former MVP of old, but more so it's a call for him to be engaged in the action every game. It was obvious as to when he flicked his "on & off" switch. I know early on in last season that he was just trying to stay healthy, but he's too damn good to allow himself to not be a factor whenever he's on the court.
  • I hope Jimmy doesn't forget what earned him his reputation in the league in his quest to be a more offensively complete player. We all saw Jimmy do work last year, and we praised him for it. But, he went through lapses and periods as well where he wasn't defending with the same intensity that he's known for.... I think inevitably not playing as many minutes under Fred will help him a great deal in this department.
  • Speaking of Fred, most people will have an eye out for his offense. Within that tho, I'm REALLY curious on how he'll be handling the rotations & minutes alike, especially with the pace that he likes to play at. I know he said that he's picked Kerr's brain a bit in regards to coaching. Let's hope that using effective rotations depending on the match up, is something that Fred got from him while talking to him.
  • This is a contract year for Jo, he REALLY needs to play like it. There's no way he can be as bad as he was last year. That knee surgery last off-season clearly didn't allow him to work on either his game or his conditioning. The little things matter with a player like Jo, and when you can't make your free throws, make layups right underneath the basket, and make an occasional jumper here and there to help space the floor, well then you become completely expendable very much like what happened in the playoffs. I haven't given up on Jo tho. He's better than that.
  • Would love for Doug to eventually take Dunleavy's starting job before season end. Dunleavy should not be starting in this league.
  • Lastly, I want to see what Taj can be parlayed for. YES Taj has value RIGHT NOW as long as he can walk. I mean a team like the Celtics just gave Amir Johnson almost twice of what Taj makes per season, and Taj is the better forward out of the two.
Last year was probably thee most frustrating year I ever had in all of my years of being a fan of this franchise. I'm a fall back more and just try to enjoy the season. This situation and roster is less than ideal, but I'm always excited to see the Bullies play.

I'm curious to see how Bobby Portis does. IMO Pau and Noah are on the back end. Nikola needs to step up his D. Why is Kirk on this damn team? Can Taj/Snell be anymore than spark plugs? I'd trade Drose and build around Jimmy, Nikola and Bobby. McDermott reminds of Wally Sczerbiak, next. As for Fred his hire reminds me of when Tim Floyd was hired. He maybe a better coach but outside of Jimmy and possibly Derrick the team is too old and slow.
This team won't contend and I wouldn't be shocked if it missed the playoffs. GarPax should of been canned with Thibs.
