That is completely fallacious because for one, men do NOT seek to marry UP. That's a woman's initiative.
Two, when looking outside of her race, black women do NOT have the same standards in terms of financial stability and physical traits that she would a black man, hence when every single famous black woman is with a black men, he is of someone WE KNOW (Bassett and Vance, Jigga and Bey, Mariah and Nick, Kerry Washington and Nnamdi, etc). When she dates out, it is someone we do NOT know (Mariah and ??, Tracey Edmonds and ???, Kerry and ??Moscow??). And there are plenty that I am forgetting ATM.
And before Kim K, Kanye was known to dating women who was not financially up to par, cmon Amber Rose is not even a freaking socialite heiress, shes a ghetto ass stripper who thotted her way up the hip-hop circles, she and the women prior to KK were NEVER heavy weights in the entertainment industry. He didn't need to date a woman that was up to par financially, that WAS HIS JOB to provide for the women.
