Props for LeBron, but I don't hold longevity stats that much weight. Especially how the NBA is set up in this day and age where players can score at high volume. The career scoring record can be and will be eventually broken and probably in a quicker time span, the same way how Babe Ruth's HR record was broken by Hank Aaron and followed by Barry Bonds. While people imagined Babe Ruth as the GOAT, nobody thought of that about Hank Aaron and many refuse to view Barry as a GOAT despite being number 1 in home runs for the obvious reason.
LeBron legacy isn't just going to be based upon the career scoring record. Nor has Kareem. The funny thing about is Kareem is way more decorated than LeBron and I don't recall many people claim Kareem as the GOAT. And that's fair due to looking at things from a contextual aspect. I feel the same way with LeBron. It's the Hank Aaron & Barry Bonds conclusion; legendary, but people years later are going to view this as the reason for being regarded the GOAT.
