Its kind of wild how little developers are showing their games these days

these games journalists cant really be trusted anyway. But if you leave it all up to the devs they might add some bullshots or unrealistic gameplay scenarios. so it is what it is. i like it the way it is now. i stopped watching previews in general, like jedi survivor and resident evil 4 i just skimmed a few seconds to make sure it wasn't terrible looking.

The lead up to San Andreas dropping was the GOAT..They went in depth and gave us a steady drip of super detailed previews leading up to release. It was every bit as advertised, too. :ohlawd:

If you are in the position where people will buy regardless then those companies do it. 2K is a good example, pre 2013 they used to have 2-3 months of showing off the game. These days they will show something 2 weeks before.

Blame/credit Nintendo. The success of their Directs led to this, and Sony/Microsoft followed suit.

MP4 will probably be the last game that they do that ever gets that kind of vague announcement.

Do a Direct, outline major titles in the short-term.......reap rewards.

Less annoying questions because people have no clue.
