Yeah but if that student doesn't get into Harvard they will still get into a prestegious school like Duke or Rutgers and get a degree.

What the fukk will that Walmart cashier get out of that job?

Article is fukking stupid. I got 5.7 percent stupider by wasting my brain cells processing that bullshyt article.

The 215
college is and always has been the greatest option there ever was
Not really anymore but if you wanna definitely get a job and or don't have your mind right on what you wanna do yeah I agree. If you can make similar or better money without it why waste time and money? Its on a case by case basis

Newt Gingrich isn't a fan of everyone going to college. .
well, hes right about that

my dads a teacher in high school, and he says theres countless kids where its on the tip of his tongue to be like 'yo, youre not ready for/dont need college. do a trade school or somethin"

but now its a combo of liberals " everyone deserves to go to college" and these cocksuckers makin money off it, arent gonna argue with that sentiment :pachaha:

college is not simply to get a job
it should be compulsory in order that the populace share in the latest understanding of the world and the lexicon necessary to get and grow that understanding
basically to have as intellectually advanced a culture as possible

this is much easier to accomplish with the college curricula guided by professors

how does he really feel about high school then? as in do we still really need it at this point? its even more useless than college is. and it costing up to 602 billion tax dollars per year to fund.

Puberty is too distracting
it takes time to put it all together
some concepts in my introductory chemistry class took me a full year to grasp the jaw dropping implications
You need time to cultivate a thinking and relatively intelligent populace
The world of information has ballooned up since we discovered the microscope, telescope, the atom and the nature of electromagnetic radiation. there is just more to know if we are to ever become a galactic life form, this takes time.
in a smart society this should be protected time

You don't have to be a teacher to see that though lol, when I was in HS I knew damn well at least 65 to 70 percent of my class should never go to college.
